How long can I use the Delfin WF-AF-01?
max. 2 months or for up to 400 cups of the most delicious coffee.

Important! For machines with the gray Smart cartridge, we have the following tip.
The gray Smart is a filter that has been fitted with a chip.

Attention: the Delfin AF01 filter cannot replace the Smart Mini filter cartridges. The filter is too long for this.

However, there is the possibility, via a small clever hack, to refill an old filter and bypass the chip.

The Delfin AF01 Blue is compatible with fully automatic coffee machines that require the Smart 71793 filter cartridge, if you observe the following:

The original gray Smart filter cartridge has an integrated RFID chip that exchanges information about the filter cartridge with your Jura machine. When the filter cartridge is used up, the machine detects this and automatically switches the program to hard water. The result is increased consumption of cleaning and descaling agents.

To use the Delfin AF01 Blue filter cartridge for your coffee machine that uses a gray Smart filter cartridge, the following must be observed.

In the machine's programming, the water hardness is entered. Here you enter 10°dH. Then you will be asked if you want to operate the machine with the filter cartridge or without any water filter. Here you enter operation without water filter.
The machine is now in operation without a filter, so the filter display in the menu will no longer appear. You will no longer be alerted to a filter change. If the Delfin AF01 blue is used now, the machine will not recognize the filter. You must remember to change the cartridge yourself after 50 - 70 liters of water or at the latest every 2 months.

Why was the water hardness set to 10°dH?
The machine "thinks" you are not using a filter.
If you were to enter 20°dH, for example, the machine would report needing descaling significantly more often than necessary.
With regular use of the Delfin AF01 Blue filter cartridge, you get a significantly better result than 10°dH. So you can save a lot and also avoid electronic waste if you remember to change the filter yourself.

These machines use the gray Smart cartridge and/or the Smart+:

Impressa E-series (E4, E60, E600, E8, E80, E800)

Impressa J-series (J6, J600)

Impressa S-series (S8, S80)

Attention: the Delfin AF01 Blue water filter is not a replacement for the Smart Mini. It is too long for that.
